I won some Doritos out of a dumb Just Cause 3 claw machine

Did I say dumb? I meant awesome

Square Enix has no problem embracing how stupid and great and terrible and awesome its game — and all video games, really — can be. That’s why there’s a Just Cause 3–branded claw machine that’s dishing out Doritos at gamescom. ‘Cause this is all kind of dumb.

Aside from the obvious Rico’s grappling hook parallel, it’s kind of fitting that this is in Cologne, Germany which is home to one of the world’s most spectacular churches. Doritos are a communion of sorts for those who have accepted gaming as their religion. Sadly, the pope and ‘ye were nowhere to be found.
