Kill All Your Friends
The original Nidhogg found indie success on PC in 2014, and that success led to it being ported to Sony platforms. Developer Messhof doesn’t have to prove itself the second time ’round. Nidhogg II is coming to PlayStation 4 right off the bat.
The news was announced in a post on PlayStation Blog. Nidhogg II was revealed in late September but was only confirmed for a PC version. Now PS4 is added to the mix. They’re expected to launch simultaneously at some point in 2017.
Apart from the platform news, Messhof details a few improvements that the sequel aims for. Most obvious is the new aesthetic, a wild revamping of the first game’s simple yet functional block characters. Other changes are the cache of weapons that extends beyond just swords, the animations and set dressing, and the much larger soundtrack. Oh, that worm looks a hell of a lot better too.
