Tekken X Street Fighter is ‘pretty far into its development’

Has Harada forgotten about it?

It’s been five years since Tekken X Street Fighter was announced at SDCC in 2010, but panic not, the game is still in development.

Famitsu (as translated by Siliconera) asked producer Katsuhiro Harada if he’d forgotten about the game, to which he replied: “That’s not true! I’ve been saying this since before, but the fact of the matter is that we’re at a pretty far stage into its development.”

It might seem like we haven’t started on it at all, but the character lineup has been decided upon since a very long time ago. And we’ve already finished the polygon models, moves, and systems.

Unfortunately, he didn’t go into details as to why the delay’s been so long, but it would be fair to assume that his other commitments to other games like Tekken 7 and Pokken Tournament, may be the cause.

Or, you know, you can make up your own reasons in the comments below. My favourite faux excuse gets a gold star.
