Musou Stars will have Ninja Gaiden, Atelier, Dead or Alive characters, wacky plot

Now that Musou Stars has been revealed, Koei Tecmo is pulling back the curtain a bit as to what this project actually entails.

In true “all-star mashup” fashion, it features a new alternate universe where everyone can co-exist. After a princess attempts a summoning ceremony, things go awry and multiple heroes are brought into the same world — at which point they divide into three factions and attempt to take the kingdom for themselves.

It’ll feature characters and stages from the Samurai and Dynasty Warriors series, as well as Toukiden, Atelier Sophie, DeceptionDead or Alive, Kagero, and Ninja Gaiden. If you’re so inclined you can also vote on other appearances in an online Japanese poll that’s pretty easy to decipher. Stars will also utilize the light and heavy attack system from previous games.

Although the idea was exciting in theory, I wasn’t fully on board until they announced Deception characters. Now, it’s sponge import worthy.
