Capcom at TGS: Monster Hunter Stories and Resident Evil 7

gamescom who?

gamescom is still underway, but while the video game electricity is in the air why not look ahead to the next big gaming convention that’s less than a month away? The Tokyo Game Show will be held from September 15-18 in the same place as always: Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan (so yeah, maybe it should be called the Chiba Game Show).

Capcom is of course going to be attending and it just put up a page announcing what it will be showing. Monster Hunter Stories (3DS) and Resident Evil 7 (PlayStation 4, PS VR) will be demonstrated on stage, live streamed and playable at this years Japanese version of E3. Also present and playable are the arcade game Monster Hunter Spirits and a mobile game, Toraware no Parumu. Though I doubt that is all there will be.

I expect Capcom to announce something significant. We could potentially see a new Devil May Cry game. On the other hand, given all the long-awaited games finally being put into production in recent years (Kingdom Hearts III, Shenmue III, Last Guardian, Final Fantasy XV, to name a few), could it be Capcom’s turn to step up and announce Megaman Legends 3? What would you like to see?

Whatever it announces, I plan to be there and do my best to try it all out. I especially want to see RE7 in VR, not only because I’m interesting in what looks to be a great horror game, but because I’ve never tried VR yet.
