Eternity’s Child moved to the Wii

Recommended Videos

Eternity’s Child was originally announced last year as an XBLA title, but it seems that size restrictions have actually pushed the title onto the Wii, which I’m sure pleased UK based creator Luc Bernard to no end. He has also mentioned plans to design a DS version of the title, which would be very different from the Wii release but related by name and concept. The Wii version will mostly use classic controls and little use of the motion control functions of the remote.

This new style of 2D platformers is absolutely amazing and should whet the palates of fans of titles such as Castle Crashers and Odin’s Sphere. It’s the best of retro style and current art blended into one. I truly hope we get to see more titles like this in the near future, as they are pushing the envelope on making games to remember. It’s not too often you get to play an angel orphan who cut off his own wings to save angel children from a massacre.
