Pre-order The Orange Box, get access to the Team Fortress 2 beta

The Orange Box, an impressive collection of Valve games including Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Episode Two, Portal, and Team Fortress 2, can now be pre-purchased on Steam.

As an added incentive, you’ll save $5 and will get access to the Team Fortress 2 beta starting September 17. Hell, they’re even throwing in Peggle Extreme! I’ve got no idea what that is, but I suppose it’s the thought that counts. Remember, this offer is good until October 10, the game’s release date.

Now here’s the dilemma: do you pre-purchase The Orange Box because it’s cheaper and will allow you to play Team Fortress 2 early on, or do you instead get the Xbox 360 version of the game so that you’ll be able to play with your Xbox Live friends and increase your gamerscore?

A special thanks goes to AngelsDontBurn and Dyslixec for getting the word out on the community blogs earlier today.
