Whale: ‘I wonder if it will be friends with me?’
Leave it to the modding community to give us what we never even knew we wanted in a videogame. Youtuber Merfish captured the true potential of Grand Theft Auto V by using the Script Hook V tool to wreak havoc on the people of Los Santos as a majestic humpback whale.
The all-powerful whale causes all sorts of destruction upon the traffic and buildings in the area, falling from the sky, flipping over trucks, and crashing into airplanes. It’s utterly glorious. It makes me think of the whale from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, had it been called into existence above a thriving metropolis rather than a barren wasteland.
Can we have mods like this for every game, please? Seriously, if I could be a whale in more games, I’d be the happiest man alive.
