Blizzard is throwing Heart of the Swarm in with Legacy of the Void

Limited-time digital deal

If you’re looking to get back into StarCraft II on a whim, there’s a decent promotion running right now. Folks who purchase the Legacy of the Void expansion (it’s $39.99 regularly, and $59.99 for the deluxe edition) will get the earlier release, Heart of the Swarm, at no extra charge.

Keep in mind, these expansions are standalone — you won’t need the first of the three, 2010’s StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, to play them. And in fact, I came into Legacy of the Void having not touched Heart of the Swarm. A little confusing, but for the most part, it worked out okay.

The deal is valid until Monday, April 25 at 11:59 Pacific.
