I never played Strife, but the remaster looks cool

1996 FPS up on Steam, coming to GOG.com soon

Night Dive Studios brings old games to Steam, from The 7th Guest to System Shock 2 to Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon. I’ve heard of most of them, having either been around when they were new or discovering them in the years since, but not Strife. I should know about Strife.

It’s a first-person shooter with role-playing elements built using the Doom engine so, straight away, they’ve got me listening. The trailer makes a good first impression. Magneto, too.

This remastered Veteran Edition of Strife has optional updated graphics, full key rebinding, and support for higher resolutions. Night Dive also finished some stuff that wasn’t completed in the original release, like the multiplayer mode Capture the Chalice. It’s the thought that counts.

Strife is $7.49 on Steam right now and should be available on GOG.com in a few weeks.
