Looks like those amiibos aren’t really discontinued

David Young from Nintendo of America weighs in

Maybe I’m just being overly cautious, but it’s almost impossible to know what to believe on the internet, so take this with a grain of salt. A screengrab of a email from Nintendo of America’s David Young has popped up on NeoGAF stating that the Marth, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer amiibos have not been discontinued. I’ve met David a few times, and that email reads a lot like how he talks, but who knows.

We’ve reached out to Nintendo for comment and hope to hear from them as soon as tomorrow. We’re also hearing grumbles that shipments of Wii U Gamecube controller adapters will be heading to stores alongside Wave two of the Smash Bros. amiibos in a few weeks. Here’s to hoping that’s true.

Most importantly, charge your battery Erini. You’re making me nervous.
