Sunset Overdrive shows how live-action trailers should be done

It’s mockumentary time

Live-action trailers for videogames can be entirely hit or miss. It’s to the point where I’m usually curious to check them out even if I have little if any interest in the source material. Will they be awesome, or a total train wreck? Either way, I’m willing to find out.

The creators of this Sunset Overdrive trailer went in a much different direction than I was anticipating — I figured they’d bring the game’s over-the-top weapons, characters, and setting to life and call it a day. Not so! I even laughed a few times.
