Supermassive Games is considering an Until Dawn sequel

It ‘surpassed expectations’

Until Dawn didn’t blow me away, but it was a fun little horror romp that everyone should experience once, even if it’s at a discount price. It was kind of understood that Sony put it out to pasture as it didn’t advertise the game nearly at all (likely due to the massive years-long developmental process), but according to developer Supermassive Games, it “surpassed expectations.”

The team is already discussing Until Dawn 2, and the fact that it won’t be a sequel “in the traditional sense,” given the way the story plays out in the first title. I can see it being like an American Horror Story situation — some of the same cast, but a different location and set of characters.
