Why is FOX reporting on Luigi’s Mario Kart 8 death stare?

And why are we reporting on FOX reporting it?

We all know that Luigi’s menacing ways in Mario Kart 8 are too great to ignore. That’s why we’ve covered it extensively. Important stuff in the videogame world, really — especially in the days leading up to E3.

But, I’m having a tough time figuring out why exactly it made a local FOX news broadcast. Were there no shed fires or senior center going-ons to report that day? Also, is this post just another reason to talk about the infamous death stare again? Yes. Yes, it is.
