Konami is bringing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to Cologne, Germany for gamescom next month. I wasn’t keeping track, but this is the first time the game will be “available for the public to play,” according to the company. I’m struggling to fathom what that line is going to look like.

PES 2016 will also be at Konami’s gamescom booth. Poor PES.

This weekend, I replayed the standalone prologue, Ground Zeroes, to help tide me over until September 1, 2015. But that plan backfired — I’m now even more desperate to continue the story. Here’s to you, Hideo Kojima. “The last and final moment is yours. That agony is your triumph.”
