Loot 2.0 and lots more

This may just be the time to give Diablo III another chance ahead of next month’s Reaper of Souls expansion. Patch 2.0.1 hits the PC version today, and it’s a huge one.

Many core aspects of the game have been tweaked in some way or altogether redone: experience-boosting Pools of Reflection are in, bosses and classes have been revised, crafting has been streamlined, the difficulty system is now dynamic with monsters leveling up alongside your characters, the loot and paragon systems have been overhauled for the better, clans and communities were added, and the user interface has been tidied up.

Even after that stupidly long-winded overview sentence, I still feel like I’m barely scratching the surface here. You’ll want to read Blizzard’s full patch notes, linked below. The company anticipates servers going online at 8:00pm Pacific once maintenance is completed.
