Here are some Google Glass videogame prototypes

Call me when they port Doom to the system

After a flurry of excitement last year, you don’t hear that much about Google Glass these days, aside from people getting into various types of trouble with the law. So it’s no surprise to me to see a demonstration of some simple games that have been created to use Google’s wearable eyepiece. Still, you’re not going to find me shouting “pull, bang!” in public. At least not until Google send me a kit to try out (hint hint).

There are five prototypes available, from what appears to be simple balancing game to a skeet shooting option. The titles that are available seem to have been designed to specifically work with the hardware, so for instance the Balance game is controlled by the player simply tilting their head.

These titles look graphically simple but you’d have to make whatever playing stand out from the scenery. It’ll be interesting to see if videogames become a selling point for Google Glass whenever the tech goes on sale, if it ever does.
