Xbox One Game Preview lets you play games still in development

Early Access

Xbox One will allow you to “buy and play a selection games while they’re still in active development” with a system similar to Steam’s Early Access.

Unlike Steam, Microsoft mandates each game on the service has a free trial so you can decide whether or not you want to buy into early access and play games before they are finished.

Xbox Game Preview launches with The Long Dark, Shelter, Elite: Dangerous, and DayZ.
