A lot of people are leaving EA. PopCap (Plants vs. Zombies) CEO Dave Roberts and studio co-founder Jason Kapalka left PopCap. Criterion Games’ (Burnout) co-founders have departed as well.
Now, MCV reports Chillingo founders Chris Byatte and Joe Wee have left EA. EA bought Angry Birds publisher Chillingo in 2010 and its founders stayed on to head the division for EA until now.
Hopefully Byatte and Wee are off to do something fun. And hopefully people stop leaving EA as if it was a New Year’s resolution.
