Tecmo’s Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Arcade‘s most recent trailer gives a small glimpse of its newest fighter: a Gothic Lolita named Marie Rose.
The mysterious blonde specializes in the Russian martial arts known as systema — a hand-to-hand combat technique that focuses on controlling the six body levers (neck, elbows,waist, knees, shoulders, and ankles) through striking and pressure point application.
Currently, the latest iteration of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate is set to release in Japanese arcades this winter. While there is no confirmation that the latest edition to the game’s roster will come to home consoles — either in another version of the game or as DLC — if Tecmo’s track record for releasing additional content for the series is any indication, then I’m willing to bet we’ll see Marie Rose in our homes soon enough.
