Basement Crawl appears rather creepy in this video tease

PlayStation 4 maze title aiming to scare

Bloober Team has released this teaser trailer for their upcoming PlayStation 4 title, Basement Crawl, a competitive multiplayer maze game with a decidedly unsettling tone. In the video, we hear a child’s voice addressing her grandmother, questioning why she cannot go out into the world and make friends, while being shown dark corners, strange technology and a really ugly clown.

Well, the tone is set. Now if I just had some real idea of what the game looked like in play, I could start getting genuinely excited for this.

Basement Crawl is expected to release on PS4 by the end of the year.
