Every once in awhile there’s a game that looks so Japanese that we find ourselves throwing our hands up and saying that we’re never going to see it over here. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc might have been one of those games, but NIS America swooped in to save the day.

As proof, here are the first English screenshots for the upcoming Vita game, set to launch in both North America and Europe early next year.

In this game, Makoto and his fellow students find themselves trapped in their school one day, cut off from the rest of the world. A murderous bear called Monokuma now runs the show, pitting students against each other. His promise: kill another student and you’ll be set free.
