Earthworm Jim is back … in Boogerman 20th Anniversary

So it’s come to this

We haven’t yet covered that Kickstarter for a new Boogerman. And it’s not that there was some internal mandate to avoid writing about it or anything of the sort; frankly, none of us cared enough about the game. That’s it — simple apathy.

The people involved with Boogerman 20th Anniversary seem genuinely passionate about the project, and that’s terrific. I’m sure there are fans who are too, though whether there are enough of them to bring in $375,000 is another matter. So, what’s changed? The Kickstarter campaign has added a new $40 tier that features a two-player co-op mode with Earthworm Jim.

Sigh. I know why they’re doing it, but all I — and I assume this goes for a fair number of you as well — really want is a new Earthworm Jim. A proper game, not this sad fate.
