Apple to hold an iPad event on October 22

AllThingsD is calling it

AllThingsD knows their stuff, especially when it comes to Apple news. So I believe them when they say that an iPad event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 22. They say we should expect not only new iPads, but also new Mac Pros and more on OS X Mavericks.

This invite only event is where they think Apple will show off a thinner, lighter fifth-generation iPad that uses their 64-bit A7 chipset. The iPad mini should get a Retina display, too. 

I need a new iPad. Maybe I’ll be playing Tiny Death Star or any of the Dragon Quest games on a shiny new Retina iPad mini soon.
