HBO Go is finally out on the Xbox One

Took them long enough, next up, PS4

It feels like I’ve been waiting forever, but HBO Go has finally launched on a current-gen console — the Xbox One. While the planned PS4 app is nowhere to be found and there are no plans for a Wii U version, you can download HBO’s app today on Microsoft’s newest console. For reference, you will need a cable subscription to use the service, though there are plans to provide a standalone option later next year.

I’m kind of taking it easy on HBO though since the fantastic final season of Boardwalk Empire just concluded. I’m continuing to hate-watch Newsroom, though it’s been admittedly way better during its final season barring the insufferable relationship banter.
