Over at Blizzcon today, Blizzard announced its first new IP in 17 years, Overwatch. However, the studio also failed to announce any tentative plans to release Rock & Roll Racing 2, a cartoonish adversarial racing game featuring the music of Black Sabbath, Steppenwolf and more.

Presumably we will not be able to watch the fun, expensive CG trailer soon at the above link, which is currently crashed with traffic, but also because no such CG trailer exists (that we know of).

No word yet on a partnership with Harmonix, or if we will see classic characters like Rip and Shred again. No beta will be starting up next year, and Blizzcon attendees won’t be able to play it this weekend because we live in a bleak and joyless world that has been abandoned by the rock Gods of legend.
