The winners of the Nintendo Short cuts contest

Recommended Videos

The top three winners of the Nintendo Short cuts contest were announced a few days ago (yeah, sorry, way late on this). Here are the winners:

1st place: Good vs. Wiivil — Jack Paccione, Jr., Staten Island, NY
2nd place: Koopa Force — Marc Duddleson, Monroe, NC
3rd place: The Nintendo Office — Christopher Preksta, Pittsburgh, PA

So my guesses were completely wrong. How about you? Did any of you think Good vs. Wiivil would take top prize? Here is what Jack Paccione won as well as the other winner’s prizes:

As 1st place winner, Paccione wins a $10,000 cash prize and a public screening in New York City, where the top three shorts will be screened as part of the Tribeca Drive-In Short Film Series at Top of the Rock. Paccione also receives a “power lunch” with Tribeca Film Festival co-founder Craig Hatkoff. All 10 finalists will receive Nintendo systems and software.

I’m still pissed that the Punch-Out trailer didn’t even get a nod. Speaking of which, the team that made the video, Team Awesome Rocks, just released a bloopers real to thank their fans for the support. I’m expecting really great videos from these guys in the future.
