Surprise! Kids today are spoiled, jaded, and kinda dumb when you show them older technology

But we knew that already

Completely removing nostalgia from the equation, these Kids React videos rub me the wrong way. For one thing, kids just don’t have any relevant opinions that I’m interested in. I don’t find them funny or insightful. And honestly, their reactions to older technology (like the Game Boy in this video) only remind me of what kind of world we live in these days where there’s no real appreciation for the things that came before.

Also, “Game Boy Girl” and “I mean, it’s not like there’s going to be any amazing games on it.” Ugh, God. And no, you don’t just turn it on and “get the apps.” And one other thing that bothers me — If you’re so well-versed in apps and mobile games, how do you not know how to play Tetris? Or how to get to the game by pressing the Start button? Yeesh.
