Le gasp! No! Say it ain’t so, Joe! Say it ain’t so!

Back in September, we heard rumblings that the Korean Mega Man MMO, oh-so-creatively titled Rockman Online, had halted production following a restructuring of developer Neowiz. All evidence pointed towards the game being canceled, though Neowiz never actually confirmed it. But honestly, everyone knew what was up.

Korean game site ruliweb just received confirmation today directly from Neowiz that Rockman Online was officially canceled in November 2012. The decision was reached after the studio consulted with Capcom on the game’s status. Oh, really? Capcom canceled a Mega Man game? Who could have ever seen that coming in a million years?

I don’t think a single person will be shocked by this news. I literally feel nothing. At this point, I’m more surprised that the sun is still hot and water is still wet.
