Cyborg Michael Jordan could have been in NBA Street

Perhaps in a perfect universe…

Remember the Street games? NFL Street was probably my favorite, but NBA Street was right up there with it in terms of arcade-style quality. Well, it looks like NBA Street in particular was only living up to about 10% of its potential, as the concept art behind what could have been one of the coolest bosses ever has surfaced.

Roger Yuen, lead artist on the title, has put up his concept art of Cyber Michael Jordan, a boss that never made it to the final title. Perhaps Cyber MJ would have been too good? Maybe none of the playtesters could beat him and he had to be removed for the less roboty Regular Michael Jordan? That’s probably it, that’s why he didn’t make it in.
