WildStar’s developers seem to be taking endgame content seriously

Yes! Yes! Yes!

When I previewed WildStar last year at PAX East, I had a long conversation with the developers in regards to endgame content. While not every MMO player necessarily needs a hefty amount of max level raids and dungeons at launch, it’s important to many players (myself included), and it can also make or break a game if there’s no road map in place.

According to their panel at PAX East this year, developer Carbine Studios seems to have a roadmap, and the team is planning on creating a robust amount of content for all players. There will be tons of extra PVP, solo questing, and group content. For starters there are two level 50+ zones that will be in the game, as well as “veteran dungeons and adventures.” Battlegrounds and arenas are also a thing for those of you who love to PVP past the cap.

In terms of arenas (my personal favorite), there are plans for 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 matches, with a shared life pool in place. Veteran level crafting includes Runeforging (equipment slots), as well as Imbuements (quests for better items), and artifact weapons. 80-man raids were also mentioned in passing, and raids are said to be challenging in general.

Yeah, I’m liking the sound of this.
