This would have been killer at launch
A few weeks after we heard that Sony was going back to the drawing board with Driveclub, we’re getting some more encouraging news. According to an SCEE rep, the development of Driveclub is “spectacular,” and the recent studio changes (read: layoffs) have not affected the game. Sony notes to expect more info soon, including the reveal of the new Game Director and release date.
Considering Sony’s weak PS4 launch, this could have really been a killer app for them if it worked out how it was supposed to. Regardless, patience is a virtue, and the PS4 is really hitting its stride now with games like inFamous: Second Son — hopefully Driveclub will add to that strength.
