You know how in Twitter, accounts are “verified” so that people know that the account is the real deal?

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has just announced that Nintendo will be doing the same thing with Mii accounts on the Wii U Miiverse. Although it is happening now in a limited fashion, it seems as if this practice will be more widespread.

Iwata states that this is for “companies and people who are involved with software development. People mainly using accounts to provide information about games.”

Cool stuff! Would you bother following verified accounts for game updates?
