Microsoft sends word that Xbox Live gets several new global apps from partners this week.

Anime fans will dig that streaming service Crunchyroll has launched in all markets outside Japan and UAE. The app supports Kinect voice and motion controls, too. Vimeo gets an app that gives you full access to their video collection. AOL ON, IGN, and SnagFilms also launch in the US this week.

If this wasn’t enough, this Saturday, December 22, the new documentary Minecraft: The Story of Mojang, will be available to watch on Xbox Live. The movie will air for free for Gold subscribers.
