There’s a new, free-to-play Dungeon Keeper for mobile

Exactly what we didn’t ask for

For years I’ve been searching for a modern Dungeon Keeper-esque game but nothing has been able to hit all of the right notes for me. Maybe that’s nostalgia speaking. From the look of it, not even a game literally called “Dungeon Keeper” will do the job.

Developed by EA Mythic, this is a free-to-play title available now for Android and iOS. The more I look at it, the less faithful to the original Bullfrog games it appears to be. The increased focus on social and in-app purchases are one thing, but this new Dungeon Keeper just seems like a standard tower defense title geared toward mobile platforms more than anything.

Guess I’ll just stick with the classics on GOG.com.
