NVIDIA/Capcom bringing Lost Planet to the PC

NVIDIA and Capcom are teaming up to port the hit 360 game, Lost Planet, to the PC. It will take full advantage of DirectX 10 and feature Extreme High Definition (or XHD), an NVIDIA buzz word that means the game can run at a resolution of 2560×1600. Yowza!

According to producer Jun Takeuchi, the NVIDIA GPU will be able to pump out amazing graphics and details not seen in the 360 version. Of course, you’re going to need all kinds of high end hardware to run the game.

But, damn! Those snow and smoke effects are going to look spiffy, even if your body is too weak to play the game, because you’ve sold massive amounts of blood and semen to afford a new graphics card and monitor.

The game should be available in Europe and the US this June. Everyone else will have to suffer with the already last-gen Xbox 360 version. Poor things.
