New PlayStation Store goes live, immediately breaks

Sony’s exciting new-look PlayStation Store has gone live in Europe today … before breaking almost instantly. Although some users are successfully navigating the refurbished store, others are experiencing slow loading, and an inability to add funds to their wallet.

“The speed will improve greatly over the next 24 hours or so as launch day creases are ironed out,” announced Sony on its Twitter“For anyone having trouble adding funds to your wallet on the new Store – apologies, this issue will be fixed in the next couple of hours.”

Other reported issues are Plus members not being recognized as such, and downloads simply not working. Hardly a fantastic start, but hopefully the teething troubles will be fixed before too long.

In the meantime, I guess you just better sit there and wait.
