Hold the phone: Sony starts talking PS3 price cut

Recommended Videos

Considering Sony is taking a fairly big loss on each PlayStation 3 sold, a price cut for the console was always considered out of the question. Well, in a potential change of direction a company rep is now talking about a possible drop coming at the right time. Senior VP Takao Yuhara told the Associated Press the following:

“We may look at the [PS3’s] price as part of our strategy to expand the market when the timing is right.”

If the PS3 dropped to $400 and $500 respectively, would you reconsider buying one? If not, what price is right for you, if any?
