Congrats to CheapyD and crew

All of us here at Destructoid would like to say congratulations to CheapyD and Wombat over at Cheap Ass Gamer for hitting the 5,000 download mark on episode #59 of their podcast — look out for episode #60 this week. This is a big milestone for them and is worthy of a little recognition. For those of you who don’t know what CAGcast is, let me give you a little run down:

CheapyD started the site back in May of 2003 out of his passion for finding games at cheap ass prices and wanting to spread the word to the rest of the Internets. The site is the best source for looking up deals and they even have an entire Wiki page on trade-in prices at Gamestop/EB Games. They started recording the CAGcast in August of 2005 with episode 1 weighing in at a hefty 6 minutes.

CheapyD reports directly from Tokyo, Japan, along with New York City resident Wombat. Their podcast is a humorous but mature look at everything video games: news, reviews, previews, gaming in Japan, and perhaps most importantly, game deals.

Now that you’ve heard a bit about the CAGcast, you need to go listen to it already. Put it in iTunes or however you get your podcasts. It has a nice spot in my iPod along with Podtoid and the same should be true for all of you.

[Thanks to Nameless Ted for providing the words]
