Final Fantasy XI anniversary concert tickets now on sale

Can you believe Final Fantasy XI has been around for ten years? Square Enix celebrated the occasion with a special orchestral concert in Japan that saw a DVD release earlier this year, and now they’re surprisingly bringing the program to the United States. On September 22, 2012, AWR Music Productions, the team behind the highly-successful Distant Worlds tour will be recreating Final Fantasy XI’s most memorable musical moments on stage with a full orchestra.

There will also be special guests from Japan, including composers Naoshi Mizuta and Kumi Tanioka, the latter of whom may even grace the stage with her amazing piano skills. Tickets went on sale yesterday, and as this is a one-time show, I imagine they’re going to go fast. Fans who attend will also get a special in-game item, the “maestro baton,” (shown in the above video) not available anywhere else.

If you’re interested in attending, you can pick up tickets here, with prices ranging from $50 to $150 for the VIP meet and greet session the special guests. Let us know what you think of Square Enix’s willingness to bring such a specialized concert to the US and if you plan on attending!
