Ys Origin is now in English on Steam

I can’t say that I know a whole lot about the Ys series, but it’s really old apparently. Ys Origin first came out for PC in Japan back in 2006. Six years later it’s being released in English on Steam. It has also been enhanced a little bit to add things like widescreen support.

Ys Origin might actually be a good place to jump into the series. It’s a prequel, so it comes first chronologically in the series. It doesn’t have the same protagonist as the rest of the games either, so you don’t have to worry about knowing what’s going on with the story.

JRPGs can be hard to find on the PC, and this looks like a delightful little game. You can get it for just $19.99.
