inXile might work with Obsidian on Wasteland 2

Watching the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter progress has been a real trip, from inception, to this: the craziest moment yet. If the project manages to raise $2.1 million in contributions, developer inXile will collaborate with Obsidian Entertainment (including Chris Avellone) on game design and writing.

“While the programming work will remain with us here at inXile,” says Brian Fargo, “we are looking to use a host of tools that Obsidian has created which will help us get assets into the game faster. The faster we can implement and iterate on content, the deeper the game and the more varied choices the gamers can make.”

Since the Kickstarter is already sitting firmly at $1.7 million and there are 17 days left to go, I’ll be shocked if they are unable to reach this new milestone in time.
