The boat is your primary mode of travel in How to Fish, but making it fly is not an easy task. If you aren’t concerned about the I’m the Bird Now achievement, then you don’t have to check this guide out.
However, I will help you find the easiest way to make your boat fly (quite literally) in the game.
How to make your boat fly in How to Fish
First, you’ll need to unlock the boat, which is done from the lighthouse. It’s one of the easiest tasks to complete in the starting area after you defeat the Spider Crab boss. Once done, take the boat and head to Island 2.
The second island in the map offers you the first chance at catching real fish. However, it also provides you with access to an explosive bit of content: the Dynamite. This is my favorite way to lazy fish in the game as you can just blow them up from the water. You don’t need a lure, and you don’t need to use your rod.
However, the Dynamite also allows you to complete the I’m the Bird Now achievement. Buy a stack and go in front of your boat. Light up the dynamite and then throw it at your boat. Wait for the Dynamite to explode, and it will send your boat flying up in the sky.
That will instantly get you the achievement, but it might send the boat quite far away from where you want it to be. Simply reload your last save, and you’ll find the boat at the required location. However, the achievement you completed moments ago will remain recorded, so you don’t have to repeat the activity.
While this achievement is slightly tricky, you’ll finish more of them by simply completing the game.
