A new special floating island has arrived in the valley village, and it’s brought another event to tackle in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This event is the Parks Floating Festival, and it has quite an array of tasks for you to tackle, including one that requires you to find some Plastic Scrap.
This Floating Festival event, like all other variants we’ve seen, features some tricky puzzles that don’t give you any precise details to work with. Because of this, you might have a bit of trouble working through the many tasks it features. If you’re having trouble finding this key resource, here’s how to get Plastic Scrap in the Parks Floating Festival in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where to find Parks Floating Festival Plastic Scrap in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Plastic Scrap can primarily be found scattered on the ground all around the Parks Floating Festival event island in DDV. It can also sometimes spawn on top of the circular metal tables located next to the coffee shop. This resource doesn’t have any specific spawn locations; instead, you need to scour every inch of this special location to randomly find some as you look.
This material can be found around the island for as long as the event is active. There are no other spawn locations or means you can use to acquire it outside of the Parks Floating Festival event island, so whenever you’re on the hunt for it, you must track it down around this region.
If you have the A Rift in Time DLC with access to the Eternity Isle region, you can also find Plastic Scrap there. Although this version looks the same as the material present on the event island, they’re actually completely different, with the event variant being officially titled Parks Floating Festival Plastic Scrap.
You cannot gather this resource from Eternity Isle to use in the Floating Island event. Only Plastic Scrap found around the special island can be used to make progress in one of the puzzles featured in it.
How to use Parks Floating Festival Plastic Scrap in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Plastic Scrap you find around the Parks Floating Festival event island can be turned in at a specific trash can on main street to complete Adventureland Trash Bins Plastic Scrap Puzzle #1. There are lots of different trash cans around the island, but only one you can turn in this resource at.
To find the right trash bin, make your way over to the central street on the event island. Look for the vibrant Figment topiary in the middle of the road, then for the yellow and red building. Right next to the red refreshment stand, you’ll spot two light brown bins that say “Grizzly Peak Recreation Area” on them. Interact with these bins to deposit your trash.
As soon as you turn in the Plastic Scrap, the first puzzle will be complete, and you can claim the Adventureland Trash Bins item as a reward. There’s still more work to be done on this special island, though, so you may want to dive in to work on the Carnivorous Plants Puzzle #2 next.
