Phew…. wonder what Warren Spector makes of this then? When Hellraid lead producer Marcin Kruczkiewicz tells Eurogamer that the game is “made by guys in their 30’s,” he’s not wrong. You can see the influence of a game like Hexen and old-school first-person fantasy games, even more modern titles like Dark Messiah too.

Whilst the setting doesn’t look amazingly original, the gameplay might have some neat hooks. Hellraid will feature four distinct but familiar classes: warrior, mage, paladin, and rogue. It’ll be really interesting to see how much the game’s co-op will focus on working together and using each class’ unique “interlocking abilities.” An old-school, hack-and -slash game with co-op? Now you’ve got me interested.
