I’d tell you everything this new behind the scenes clip of The Last of Us contains but I had to shut it off halfway through.

The enemies — the focus of the clip — freak me out too much, which is to say that fungi freaks me out too much. The developers talking about the origins of the enemy design is all well and good until the clip starts showing close-ups of their faces that look like how I imagine a scrotum looks after a very bad trip to Cancun.

Am I alone in being completely grossed out by these things? It’s not even scary. It’s just nasty. I’m worried I won’t be able to play the game to completion when it comes to PS3 on June 14. Gulp.

Can we get a gross-sh*t-free version, Naughty Dog?
