Mortal Kombat is Komplete on February 28

I got a huge kick out of the Mortal Kombat reboot last year. Aside from being a bloody way to show the world how much I suck at fighting games, the title’s story mode is one of the coolest things I’ve played in the genre in a long time. If you’ve held out on it, next week brings the “Komplete Edition” of the game, which packs in the original game and the four bonus characters released as DLC, Skarlett, Rain, Kenshi and Freddy Krueger.

Warner Bros. released a developer diary with a few talking points from developers. Now, Mortal Kombat is a good game and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend it as a purchase, as I have had many hours of enjoyment from the title. But when one of your three main comments about the special edition of your game is that it’s compatible with the version previously released, that’s a sad statement. Sadder still that it has to be said.
