Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 has plenty of weapons, and going the meta route will help you win more games. Of course, you’ll have to rely on all the items in your loadout to outsmart the opponents. Styill, your guns will have the primary role of doing the damage.
Let’s find out how the current weapons fare in the meta.
Complete Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 weapons tier list
To separate the weapons, I have used four different tiers.
- S-tier choices are the top dogs of the current meta. They are easy to use and do plenty of damage.
- A-tier choices are decent alternatives to the names mentioned in the S-tier. You’ll need to pay an extra bit of attention to help them achieve their potential.
- B-tier choices are mediocre options that will require plenty of extra effort.
- C-tier choices are avoidable names that you should only use if you want to die early in a round.

S-tier
| Name | Type | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Flex SMG | SMG | There are some great SMGs available in Season 3, but none top the Flex. It’s best suited for hip firing since it has a slower fire rate when in ADS. If you’re someone who likes to operate between close and moderate range, pick this up. |
| Hunting Rifle | Rifle | While it doesn’t have the best of fire rates, the Hunting Rifle is this season’s go-to sniping option. It can two-shot enemies if they’re careless. The range is excellent even on the lower rarities. |
| Sritker Pump Shotgun | Shotgun | Shotguns are definitely the meta in this season. The Striker Pump can two-shot anyone at full health and shields. It has a fast reload speed and reaction time, but the range is pretty poor (expected). |
A-tier
| Name | Type | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Surgical Burst Rifle | Assault Rifle | My only issue with this weapon is its burst fire mode. Occasionally, you’ll want to go for a continuous stream of bullets. However, this gun does fantastic damage, has low recoil, and has an exceptional range for an assault rifle. |
| Chaos Reloader | Shotgun | The shotgun has the highest DPS among all weapons in Season 3. It also reloads on its own when you’re not using it. However, the range is shockingly poor. Pick this up before the final circle since it’s great for close-quarter combat. |
| Stinger SMG | SMG | While not as good as the Flex, the Stinger can also dish out a decent amount of damage. It has less range than the Flex while all the other stats are almost the same. |
| Maven Auto Shotgun | Shotgun | I don’t like the Maven, but it’s a good choice for most players. It’s completely auto, and all you need to do is aim and fire. Unfortunately, the base damage is pretty low compared to other shotguns. While the weapon is useful in Zero Build Mode, it lacks potential elsewhere. |
B-tier
| Name | Type | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Chaos Exploder Rifle | Assault Rifle | Due to the nerfs, this gun is no longer what it was. The low recoil and splash damage are great for beginners. However, its base damage has been lowered quite a bit. |
| Extending Focus Shotgun | Shotgun | While the Extending Focus has decent range for a shotgun, its three-shot system isn’t efficient. There’s spread on the bullets so it can miss the enemy. To do sustainable damage, you’ll need to hope every bullet hits the mark. |
C-tier
There’s not much to discuss about these weapons. Unfortunately, the tier includes the two pistols.
- Lancehead
- Ranger
Both weapons are good as a last resort, but don’t have much use elsewhere. The damage is low unless you can land headshots. The base range on both guns is also poor, so you’ll be forced to get close to enemies. All things considered, you should definitely avoid using them as much as possible.
