It’s not too late to sign up for the Dust 514 closed beta

This weekend saw much fun and excitement for many people as they searched to resolve themselves for the new year. Of course, such celebration makes for rather lacking gaming news on most fronts. The December e-newsletter for Eve Online that went out over the weekend reminds of the Dust 514 beta.

As mentioned here and previously by CCP, the closed beta — deemed “Mordu’s Private Trials” — is open only to current EVE Online subscribers. So just in case you’ve been away from your computer celebrating for a while, (We’re looking at you, games industry), be sure to add your name to the tester pool under your account management tools.

The game’s main draw is the interactivity with the universe as it exists in EVE, where players in Dust can be hired to fight for control of planets, surface side. With a summer release planned, I would imagine it won’t be much longer before this beta opens up.
