When THQ’s ashes were cast to the wind, the fate of a lot of staff and franchises wasn’t clear. One such person was Patrice Desilets, the former lead designer of the first Assassin’s Creed games, but today, Ubisoft has confirmed to Polygon that Desilets is back.

When Ubisoft bought over THQ Montreal, it was assumed Desilets and the games he was developing would be taken on by Ubisoft but there was no confirmation at the time. The short statement given to Polygon didn’t confirm what Desilets will be working on or what those IPs at THQ Montreal were, though it’s safe to say you might see his name pop up in the 30-minute credit sequence at the end of Assassin’s Creed IV.
